Jeanne Grunert began her writing career at age 14 when she won the Brockport Science Fiction and Fantasy Contest with her story, “Runaway Boys.” Since then, she’s built a successful career as a marketing director for global companies and as a freelance writer for magazines, websites, blogs, and private clients. As “the marketing writer”, Jeanne creates commercial marketing and sales copy for agencies and companies worldwide through her company, Seven Oaks Consulting.

Jeanne is the author of several popular gardening books, including Plan and Build a Raised Bed Vegetable Garden, as well as the blog, Home Garden Joy. She is a magazine columnist for Virginia Gardener, and a popular local gardening lecturer.

But it is through her novels and short stories that Jeanne’s unique gift of spinning page-turning tales with believable, realistic characters comes to life. Her most recent book, I Believe You, is a mystery exploring the meaning of forgiveness and family. All of her works are available on Amazon.com; some are also available at Barnes and Noble and Smashwords.com.

Jeanne has always led a double life, penning stories morning and night while maintaining a full-time job as a marketing director, consultant, and professional corporate writer. She holds an M.A. in Writing from Queens College, City University of New York, and an M.S. in Direct and Internet Marketing from New York University.

When Jeanne isn’t writing, you can find her working in her garden, hiking the trails near her rural Virginia home, tending to her many pets, cooking, or sewing.
